There’s so much I miss about the pre-pandemic world. And it is hard to be grateful when the future looks bleak and unpredictable. One thing I used to do was draw from life; just go out into the world and draw something. When you draw from life, you really have to sit with the thing you’re drawing. After sitting, and drawing, and looking, and drawing, and looking a while, it’s easy to appreciate the beauty of even the simplest of objects. We all could benefit from sitting with the present and really appreciating the world surrounding us. There really is beauty everywhere, and I resolve to capture more of it.
